PTFE Heavy Belt | PTFE Flooring Conveyor Belts | PTFE Carpet Back Curing Belts

PTFE Heavy Belt, with special formulated PTFE(Teflon) coating and fine weaved fiberglass fabric, is used as release liners or belts for various flooring applications.

Because PTFE heavy-duty conveyor belts have the characteristics of high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, tensile resistance, and non-stick properties, PTFE coated heavy-duty conveyor belts are often used as Carpet Tile Belts, Floor Underlay Belts, Walk off Mat Belts, and Carpet Back Curing Belts and so on.

Saryee belting offers a range of closed woven PTFE coated conveyor belts for the production of carpet tiles and synthetic rubber support carpets.

PTFE floor belts has various width and length, in some production lines, the width can be from 1000mm wide to 3600mm, length up to 100mtr long.

PTFE Heavy Belt, great release and long lifetime for flooring, textile, wood industry.

Key Features:

  • Wide Temperature Range:
PTFE floor belts are designed for continuous operation within a broad temperature range, from -70°C to +260°C. This extreme temperature tolerance ensures the belts remain effective in various manufacturing conditions.
  • Environment Resistant:
These belts are resistant to environmental factors, providing reliability and performance under diverse working conditions.
  • High Chemical Resistance:
PTFE floor belts demonstrate a high level of resistance to chemicals, making them suitable for applications where exposure to different chemicals is common in the manufacturing environment.
  • Durability:
The belts are known for their durability, with the ability to withstand the mechanical stresses and demands of continuous industrial operations.
  • Custom Textured Surface:
PTFE floor belts can be customized with textured surfaces, catering to specific manufacturing requirements. This feature enhances their effectiveness in processes such as vinyl tile manufacturing.
  • Nonstick and Easy-Release Surface:
The nonstick properties of PTFE ensure that materials do not adhere to the surface of the belts, allowing for easy release of products during the manufacturing process.
  • High Tensile Strength and Low Elongation:
The belts exhibit high tensile strength, providing stability and resistance to stretching. Low elongation ensures the belts maintain their dimensional stability during operation.
  • Resistance to Ridging, Puckering, and Creasing:
PTFE floor belts resist ridging, puckering, and creasing, ensuring a smooth and consistent performance during manufacturing processes.

Key Applications:

PTFE flooring belts are utilized in a variety of applications within the flooring industry. Some key applications include:

  • Carpet Tile Belts
Backing is applied by dispensing hot flow bitumen to the surface of the PTFE coated fabric belt. The top pile is then laminated on top of the bitumen which then bonds to the surface once cooled.
PTFE coated glass cloth is a heat resistant material that has a heavy weave structure to cope with being made into a wide belt to fit the machine. The heavy weave pattern of the material has become a familiar feature of carpet tile backings as a result.
  • Floor Underlay Belts
PTFE fabric materials and belts are often used to laminate the surfaces together. The PTFE glass cloth acts as a non-stick barrier that allows heat to transfer it.
  • Walk off Mat Belts
Walk-off mats are crafted by laminating a non-slip, textured surface to one side, preventing movement in high-traffic areas. PTFE-coated fabrics play a vital role as release sheets in hot presses, acting as a non-stick barrier between platens and carpet. Specially perforated PTFE-coated fabric sheets facilitate molten rubber seepage during manufacturing, resulting in tiny stems that enhance grip on the mat’s underside after curing.
  • Carpet Back Curing Belts
PTFE Carpet Back Curing Belts are specialized conveyor belts used in the carpet manufacturing process, specifically during the curing phase of carpet backing.
During the carpet back curing process, the PTFE Carpet Back Curing Belts are employed to convey and support the carpets as they pass through high-temperature ovens. The PTFE coating ensures that the carpet backing material does not adhere to the belt, preventing any sticking or damage during the curing cycle.
  • Crumb rubber mats manufacturing
In the manufacturing process of crumb rubber mats, recycled crumb rubber mixed with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is molded, pressed, and cured onto PTFE conveyor belts.
The PTFE coating on the fiberglass belt serves as a nonstick surface, preventing adhesion of the rubber and TPU mixture during the molding and curing processes.
  • Carpet heat-setting
PTFE coated fiberglass belts play a critical role in the carpet manufacturing industry, specifically in the heat-setting process. The nonstick properties of PTFE facilitate the efficient release of carpets from the belt after heat-setting. This prevents any damage to the newly set fibers and ensures the production of high-quality carpets.
  • Vinyl tile manufacturing
PTFE floor belts are designed to meet the specific requirements of vinyl tile manufacturing, offering nonstick properties, high-temperature resistance, chemical inertness, and durability. These belts play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient production of high-quality vinyl tiles.
